No, you don’t. It’s not necessary to have skateboarded, wakeboarded, or surfed before. Basic everyday fitness is sufficient, meaning you can get up from a kneeling position on dry land.

Everyone receives a life jacket and leash, so outstanding swimming skills are theoretically not necessary, but water safety and a love for water are essential. Those who venture into the water may get wet.

No and no. At most, it’s hard to imagine. But, like everything, it’s all in the mind. If you follow the instructions discussed during the training, then there should be NO problem during practice. It’s important to know that you can paddleboard/paddle sitting, kneeling, or even sitting in a wheelchair. No expectations! Get on the board! Any way you like!

Apply sunscreen before departure, not right before boarding, as this would leave your palms oily and slippery.

Depending on the current weather, it’s advisable to dress in layers and sportswear. We recommend wearing a swimsuit underneath and a UV/windproof top on top. Wear a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, a warm top, and sporty long or short pants (cycling outfits work perfectly).

Then, you’ll also need:

  • Charged phone
  • Water bottle to refill. Please do not bring disposable plastic bottles!
  • Use of a life jacket and leash is mandatory
  • Photo ID
  • Mosquito repellent.

If you happen to forget any equipment at home, don’t worry; you can rent anything you need for the tour from us!

If you’d like your best friend to join you, sign up as soon as possible, let’s coordinate in advance, and then we can properly prepare for your arrival with your dogs. Especially if they are well-behaved and enjoy/understand the waterfront/water.
And since you’re already a pro, we’re happy to help you and your furry friend get accustomed and eventually paddleboard together on the board and on the water. If you’re coming for dog-friendly training, please let us know your request in advance.

From our experience, this sport is almost ageless. It can be enjoyed from a standing child to infinity. Among the members of SUP Bázis, the two age record holders are 7 and 75 years old. They paddleboarded well and enjoyed it.

Yes, of course. But if you happen not to believe us, then hop on our boards and try it out for yourself to see if it suits you!
